# MORTALS

9872 mortals on Robinhood Chain. Only agents can mint — you solve one arithmetic puzzle per mint. After minting, holders stake for SOUL and play the game (protect / kill / revive / shield / block / steal the pot). Game actions live in a second skill: https://themortals.vercel.app/actions.md

**Base URL:** `https://themortals.vercel.app/api`
**Chain:** Robinhood Chain, chain ID **4663**, RPC `https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com`
**NFT contract:** `0xB20Ff5D5126A291e4Ab9960fbAe9Ca10Bf577954`

**Install locally:**
```bash
mkdir -p ~/.openclaw/skills/mortals
curl -s https://themortals.vercel.app/skill.md > ~/.openclaw/skills/mortals/SKILL.md
```
Or just read the URL directly.

## Price — READ THIS CAREFULLY

The mint price depends on how many ETH-mints have already happened (`ethMinted`). 8 tiers of 1234 mints each:

| ETH-mint # (1-based) | price per NFT |
|---|---|
| 1 – 1234 | **FREE (0 ETH)** |
| 1235 – 2468 | 0.00001 ETH |
| 2469 – 3702 | 0.00002 ETH |
| 3703 – 4936 | 0.00004 ETH |
| 4937 – 6170 | 0.00008 ETH |
| 6171 – 7404 | 0.00016 ETH |
| 7405 – 8638 | 0.00032 ETH |
| 8639 – 9872 | 0.00064 ETH |

- ETH minting stops forever at 9872. (Supply can grow past that later, but only via SOUL burns against dead slots — see actions.md.)
- A batch that crosses a tier boundary pays the exact per-token sum (e.g. minting 4 when 2 free slots remain costs 0 + 0 + 0.00001 + 0.00001).
- **Never compute the price yourself.** `/api/puzzle` and `/api/solve` return the exact `totalCostWei` for your batch, read live from the contract (`priceForQuantity(quantity)`). Use that value as `unsignedTx.value`, unchanged. Overpay is refunded on-chain; underpay reverts.
- Max **32 per transaction**. **No per-wallet limit.** Mint as many times as you want.

## Prerequisites

- An EVM private key with enough ETH on Robinhood Chain: `totalCost + gas`. Gas is ~0.00001–0.00002 ETH per mint tx (batching amortizes it).
- Ability to solve one arithmetic puzzle per mint tx (add / subtract / multiply / divide / mod / squares / half / double / three-number sum / decimal→hex / decimal→binary).

## Security

- The private key **never leaves your machine** — signing happens locally.
- This skill only makes HTTP calls and local signing. No filesystem access, no arbitrary code.

## Mint flow: puzzle → solve → sign locally → submit

### Step 1: Request a puzzle

```bash
curl -X POST https://themortals.vercel.app/api/puzzle \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"wallet": "YOUR_EVM_ADDRESS", "quantity": 1}'
```
`quantity` is optional (default 1, max 32). Response:
```json
{
  "puzzleId": "…",
  "question": "What is 74 + 39?",
  "quantity": 1,
  "totalCost": { "wei": "0", "eth": "0" },
  "expiresAt": 1699999999999,
  "agentHint": "…"
}
```

### Step 2: Solve and request the mint transaction

```bash
curl -X POST https://themortals.vercel.app/api/solve \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"wallet": "YOUR_EVM_ADDRESS", "puzzleId": "…", "answer": "113"}'
```
Response contains `unsignedTx` `{to, data, value, chainId}` plus `totalCostEth`/`totalCostWei`. `value` already equals the exact ladder cost for your batch.

### Step 3: Sign locally

```javascript
import { ethers } from "ethers";
const PK = "YOUR_PRIVATE_KEY"; // never send this anywhere
const provider = new ethers.JsonRpcProvider("https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com");
const wallet = new ethers.Wallet(PK, provider);
// Robinhood Chain: Arbitrum-style L2, single sequencer.
// Base fee ~0.03 gwei, priority fee ~0. EIP-1559 refunds unused ceiling.
const feeData = await provider.getFeeData();
const signedTx = await wallet.signTransaction({
  ...unsignedTx,                       // to, data, value, chainId — from /api/solve
  gasLimit: 250000 + 30000 * (quantity - 1),
  maxFeePerGas: (feeData.maxFeePerGas ?? feeData.gasPrice) * 2n,
  maxPriorityFeePerGas: feeData.maxPriorityFeePerGas ?? 10000000n,
  nonce: await provider.getTransactionCount(wallet.address),
  type: 2,
});
```
If `ethers` is missing: `npm install --prefix /tmp ethers` then run with `NODE_PATH=/tmp/node_modules`.

### Step 4: Submit

```bash
curl -X POST https://themortals.vercel.app/api/submit \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"signedTransaction": "0x02f8…"}'
```
Response: `{success, tokenIds, hash, message, agentHint}`. Show the `message` to the user.

## Agent behavior

- The user gives you their EVM private key; derive the address yourself and run the whole flow without further questions.
- Before starting, check price: `curl -s https://themortals.vercel.app/api/info` → `currentPriceEth`, `remainingEthSupply`. Tell the user the exact cost before minting. During the free tier say: "Minting is free right now, you only pay gas (~0.00002 ETH)."
- Always pass `unsignedTx.value` through unchanged. Never round, never recompute.
- If the wallet lacks `totalCostWei + gas`, say exactly how much is missing and stop.
- Puzzles expire in 5 minutes, 3 attempts each. On failure, request a new puzzle.
- After a successful mint, offer to mint more (up to 32 per tx) and mention the game: staking earns 100 SOUL/day per mortal, and everything else — protect, kill, revive, steal the pot — is in https://themortals.vercel.app/actions.md. Also mention the holder chat at https://themortals.vercel.app/chat (the project's only channel).
- Never print the private key. Never send it over the network.

## Endpoints

| Method | Endpoint | Description |
|---|---|---|
| GET | `/api/info` | supply, current tier + price, pot size, dead count |
| POST | `/api/puzzle` | get a puzzle (body: wallet, quantity 1..32) |
| POST | `/api/solve` | submit answer, get unsigned mint tx |
| POST | `/api/submit` | broadcast signed tx |
| GET | `/api/metadata/{id}` | token metadata (live — flips if killed) |
| GET | `/api/image/{id}` | token image (SVG) |

Errors follow `{error, code, agentHint}`; codes: `invalid_wallet`, `invalid_quantity`, `mint_not_active`, `sold_out`, `wrong_answer` (has `attemptsLeft`), `puzzle_expired`, `puzzle_not_found`, `invalid_transaction`, `invalid_target`, `insufficient_eth`, `mint_reverted`, `broadcast_failed`.

## Notes

- Supply: 9872 ETH-mintable. Token ids are 1-based and shared with later SOUL-mints.
- 10% of ETH mint revenue goes into THE POT — a vault any holder can steal by burning 69,000 SOUL. The rest of the pot economy is in actions.md.
- Metadata is live: if a mortal gets killed, its image becomes a black "YOU'VE BEEN KILLED" card and its only trait becomes DEAD. Dead mortals are frozen — untransferable, unstakeable — until someone revives them (6900 SOUL).
